Hills of Rannoch & Glencoe

On the drive across to the west coast on Saturday, we went via Glencoe. I managed to get some good photos out of the car window whilst on the move. It was too busy in the main laybys to stop!

Castle Stalker, Appin, Argyll

I had a lovely weekend camping at Benderloch, north of Oban on the west coast. The weather was fantastic, blue sky all weekend!

One of the walks we did was along the shore with a great view of Castle Stalker.

A Summer Morning at Loch Leven, Perth & Kinross

Had a nice walk at nearby Loch Leven this morning. The temperature was a lovely 20 degrees C.

The loch was calm and amongst my sightings were black headed gulls, heron, tufted duck, swallows, mute swans.

My Wildlife Art

This year I have turned my artistic side to wildlife art, having concentrated solely on pets for a while.

There is so much fantastic wildlife on my doorstep, I really wanted to give the wildlife art a go. The difficulty was deciding what subjects to draw or paint!

My main interest has become the White-Tailed Sea Eagle, a bird I had been wanting to paint as soon as I had my first sighting of one. Readers of this blog may well remember me writing about that last August!

You can view my wildlife art on my website www.karen-hartnell.co.uk
