On Today's Walk...

Things I saw/heard on today's walk by the river.

I watched the red deer for a while again. They were extremely noisy last night, especially from 10pm. I'm sure the cold, clear nights encourage them! I was woken at 5am by them roaring and screaming away again. They've quietened down this morning, probably getting ready for tonight.

Watched a treecreeper working its way up the trunk of a nearby tree.

I also saw two buzzards flying. One perched in a nearby tree, then took off and landed on a fence post.

A kingfisher flew past at high speed again.

Tawney owl hooted in the woods a few times.
